Dentures

A Prosthetic replacement of all-natural teeth, which are missing is called a denture. Dentures help restore your smile and are a viable treatment option when all the teeth are missing either on the upper or lower arches. When teeth are lost, facial muscles sag and give you a much older appearance. Usually made of lightweight resin material, they can usually be made to be comfortable to wear when the fit is adjusted precisely.

Dentures are custom made and our team takes impressions of your mouth. Dentures can take some time to get used to and it is common to feel awkward and uncomfortable for a few weeks.

Taking care of your Dentures:

  • Use a soft bristle brush to clean your dentures.
  • When not in use, dentures should be placed in a safe enclosure covered with water.
  • Run clear water over the dentures before brushing to dislodge any food particles.
  • It is important to do so, because just like regular teeth- bacteria, plaque and tartar can build up on the dentures.
  • While handling your dentures, it is essential to place a soft cloth or a basin with water below so as not to damage the dentures.
  • In case of any damage, please consult your dentist but do not attempt to use the broken or chipped dentures.
